Ahhhhh Christmas 2010 is over. Everyone had a great holiday. The kids all enjoyed our scavenger hunt for Christmas presents which actually ended with the last clue saying "Over the river and through the woods to ___________'s house we go" and earlier in the day, Ash and I had taken all the presents to my moms house. It was a lot of fun, I think we're going to do something fun like this every year. It made it so much more than just ok here's the tree, here's the presents get at it. Don't get me wrong, we've done that my whole life and nothing has been wrong with it, I just want things to be different now a days. Less commercialism, more family time and fun and games.
Ash and I actually exchanged pretty similar gifts this year, both necklaces, I gave her one with Emma's birthstone and she gave me one that has each of my kids birthstones and names, it's quite beautiful and I can't believe how close both of them are in design. I'll post pics later of them and some of the other fun things we got.

oh man does that idea sound GREAT!!! I agree-- the whole... "lets open the presents as fast as we can" is something that I can do without, too!
The necklaces sound really nice, and I look forward to see all the holiday pictures!
